Update

I hope this update meets everyone feeling healthy. With school being out for longer, I want you to know that the fifth grade team and I are constantly talking about what the next steps are for our classrooms. I am currently waiting for more guidance from the district, and will connect with the students on the specifics ASAP.

The challenge right now, and really every day of the school year, is that each of my students have different needs, challenges, successes, and goals which can change minute by minute throughout a school day.

My goal  for this time will be to have the students consistently practice what we have learned, so that when we get back we can really focus on new material to prepare for sixth grade! Students can submit any "work" on google docs, or even take a picture and send it. I will be more specific about this over the weekend.

I have been  communicating mainly through the students' gmail accounts. I will also send periodic emails to parents as well. Please make sure your child can access their Leominster gmail account. I still have seven students that I haven't heard from at all.

Thank you so much for your patience and support at this time! Please reach out to me, or have your child reach out to me, with any questions, or if they need help on a specific assignment or topic!  I understand how difficult it is to keep a "schedule."   I am a STRUGGLING with teaching/ helping with first grade "vowel teams."

Below is the email I sent to the students
Hi guys!
WELL I guess it will be a while until we see each other! ahh! This is super tough, but before we know it we'll be back in room 30 dealing with all of our shenanigans!
With that being said, starting next week I am going to start giving specific assignments each day! You can still work on the packets or symphony math etc, but I want to be able to see what you are working on, so I can give some feedback!
At this point, when we return to school, we are going to be really focusing on getting you ready for sixth grade!

So please email me to let me know you can log in to:
Pearson
Symphony
WONDERS

I am also going to be signing our class up for a more standards based/ game math site. I'm thinking it will be easier/ more fun that symphony!

I miss you all!!!!!!! <-- I even used wrong grammar!
